MA315MC1 Rogers Math Institutes 2017-2018

As Rogers HS continues to move forward with our school improvement efforts, as a math department we need to be cognizant of strategies that will help all students complete Algebra 2 at a minimum. As we examine our practice, we need to see the interconnectedness between high expectations as delineated by CCSS and high support provided through tiered interventions. These pillars of social justice (high expectations and support), along with a strong understanding of social justice and the identity of our students, will help us reach all students and help them get to standard. Through student growth goals in TPEP, we will be able to gauge our effectiveness for our marginalized populations to ensure that we are reaching all students. By providing literacy strategies around the SAT, our students will be able to better illustrate their learning on a widely utilized exam.
