Introduction to and Going Deeper With MyWorld Social Studies Training, Grade 6
The implementation training is designed to provide teachers with an understanding of the instructional components of MyWorld Social Studies. This session will offer an overview of the program including organization of physical and digital components of the curriculum. Participants will also learn ways to help connect their students to social studies content, and discuss assessment and lesson planning. The Going Deeper session will increase teacher understanding of how to integrate reading and writing into MyWorld Social Studies. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to use both the digital and physical components of this curriculum to plan for robust and engaging lessons that will serve to build deep content knowledge.
